During this past weekend’s New York Comic Con, Viz Media confirmed plans for a domestic release of the 2004 suspense thriller anime television series Monster<\/a>, based on the manga by Naoki Urasawa, also published by Viz. Viz Pictures confirmed a domestic DVD release, and possible limited theatrical release, for the live action Death Note spin-off film L: change the WorLd<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Viz Media revealed its acquisition of English language translation and publication rights to creator Rumiko Takahashi’s (Inuyasha, Urusei Yatsura) upcoming new manga serial. The new series, which has not had a title revealed yet, is scheduled to debut Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine later this spring.<\/p>\n

Viz announced plans for domestic publications of a number of new publications.<\/p>\n
