The ICv2 rankings are based on sales volume, as determined by interviews with retailers, distributors, and manufacturers.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<b>Top Ten Anime<\/b><br \/>\n01. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya<\/p>\n<p>These lists confirm an interesting separation in audience demographics.  Apart from Pokemon, all of America&#8217;s best selling anime titles are clearly targeted at a teen and young adult male audience.
