Takashi Yanase, creator of the perennially popular children’s manga and anime series Anpanman, has co-created a new 20 minute long public service anime titled “Shinjuku Shin-chan Patrol: Warui Otona ni Ki o Tsukete<\/a>” (Shinjuku Shin-chan Patrol: Be Careful of Bad Adults). The short feature depicts costumed hero Shinjuku Shin-chan teaching children what to do “when a person driving a car calls out to you,” “when you’re riding an elevator alone,” “when you return home alone and no one’s home,” and “when someone you don’t know calls on the phone.”<\/p>\n

The Tokyo MX television network will broadcast the special on August 24th. Beginning on the 26 the special will be available for loan on VHS & DVD from the Shinjuku information center, central library, and Yotsuya ward library, The video will also be hosted on the Shinjuku ward official homepage<\/a>.<\/p>\n
