Viz Media is reportedly once again trying to sell TV broadcast rights to a number of anime titles at the MIPTV international licensing convention. ICv2 reports<\/a> that Viz is offering distribution rights to Bleach, Blue Dragon, Buso Renkin, Monster & Nana – the later two of which were both previously offered for acquisition at last January’s NATPE licensing convention, and “Kilari” (Kirarin Revolution).<\/p>\n

Maybe my memory is faulty, but I thought that Viz has previously solicited distribution rights to Kirarin Revolution. It’s interesting that Viz is offering rights to the first 51 episodes of the series that currently has 103 episodes and counting.<\/p>\n

So if many of these shows are still not on American TV, does this mean that American TV networks just aren’t interested in acquiring these shows?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
