First Look at Blade Anime
Japanese broadcaster Animax has released the first teaser trailer for Madhouse’s forthcoming anime television series based on Marvel Comics’ character Blade. The series will premiere on July 1.
I know that it’s unfair to judge a show based on a short teaser, but I can’t resist thinking that this looks more like Madhouse’s Iron Man & Wolverine than its X-Men, which is not praise.

Another one of these soulless Madhouse adaptations. I even gave up on the recent and relatively better-produced X-Men adaptation for its mind-numbing dialogue and stiff presentation. It’s as if these things are made by robots, to fill a set of specifications from Marvel or whoever. These are not expressive, artistic works.
