Tofu Records Announces X-Japan Domestic Release

According to Right Stuf International, Tofu Records will release an X-Japan Best Of CD and DVD on February 24th. Although former X-Japan pianist and founder Yoshiki performed the song “Black Pearl” on the American Kiss tribute album Kiss My @ss, Tofu Records’ release will be the first official American release of a full X-Japan album.

Widely considered Japan’s most influential rock group ever, X-Japan music was used in the Madhouse produced X² music video. And X-Japan performed “Forever Love,” the ending theme of the X anime movie.

X-Japan officially broke up on September 22, 1997.
