Yojohan Shinwa Taikei Anime Announced

Reportedly the January issue of Newtype magazine, which goes on sale in Japan this week, will formally announce that studio Madhouse is presently developing a TV anime based on Morimi Tomohiko’s novel Yojohan Shinwa Taikei (Compendium of the 4½ Tatami Mat Legend). Mind Game & Kaiba director Yuasa Masaaki is helming the production for broadcast in the Fuji TV network’s late night Noitamina time slot beginning next April. The 2005 novel is a reflection on the college life of an ordinary third-year student.

Since this is a Masaaki Yuasa directed production, it’ll probably be anything but ordinary.
