Yamato 2199 Sequel Movie Announced

The Japanese television broadcast of the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 ended the day before yesterday with an announcement that the series will be continued by a new 2014 feature film. Director Yutaka Izubuchi’s remake of the 1974 Space Battleship Yamato television series was created as an OVA series with every three episodes initially getting a combined limited theatrical screening before hitting Japanese home video and television broadcast.
