After I announced AN Entertainment’s acquisition of Miami Guns at the 2002 Anime Expo convention, Bandai Entertainment manager Jerry Chu approached me and expressed congratulations and surprise that we were able to acquire distribution rights to the show because, he said, Bandai had previously tried and failed to license the show.
