Solanin Movie Announced

Japanese pop culture news site Comic Natalie reports that creator Inio Asano’s acclaimed romance manga Solanin will be adapted into a live action feature film. Director Takahiro Miki will supervise actors Aoi Miyazaki and Kengo Kora in the drama about a romantic couple that graduates college together and faces the working world. Filming will reportedly start on the 25th for a Japanese theatrical release next year.

The manga, originally published from 2005 to 2006, is now distributed in English by Viz Media.
