Sentai Acquires Amagami SS+ & RuroKen Shin Kyoto Hen

Sentai Filmworks has announced its acquisition of domestic distribution rights to the Amagami SS+ TV series. The 13-episode series from early 2012 is the second season of the Amagami SS television series that Sentai presently distributes on subtitled DVD. The “Plus” series will be releaesed on subtitled domestic DVD next year.

Sentai Filmworks has also acquired the domestic distribution rights to the two-episode Rurouni Kenshin: Shin Kyoto-Hen OVA series. The 2011-2012 re-telling of the “Kyoto” story arc will be released on bilingual domestic DVD and Blu-ray next year.

I suspect this later acquisition would be more significant if the Shin Kyoto Hen OVAs weren’t such a bland snooze.
