Playstation 2 Outsells PS3
Sales figures reveal that the $99.99 official re-pricing of the Playstation 2 encouraged a 50% increase in consumer sales leading to the 9 year old PS2 system out-selling the PS3 this past April. Sony’s PS2, PS3, and PSP sales for the month all trailed behind sales of the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS and DSi.

Probably when Sony gets out of the console situation entirely — which, at this rate, might not be too much longer. Sony is bleeding cash severely, and one has to wonder when the plug might finally end up pulled. 🙁
