Pilot Candidate Dubtitled

The domestic translation of Megami Kohousei is being handled by Hollywood, California company Mix Magic Studios, in association with Bandai of Japan. Bandai of America is in charge of pressing and distributing the DVD, but not the actual content. According to Anime on DVD, the Pilot Candidates DVD does not contain an accurate, literal subtitle track. Instead, it includes “dubtitles,” an exact transcription of the dubbed dialogue printed as subtitles on the Japanese language version rather than a literal translation of the actual Japanese dialogue.
