To refresh your memory or introduce you to an interesting opening animation sequence, I offer the uniquely stylistic second opening of the 2005 Zettai Shounen television series. The theme song is “Hikari no Silhouette” sung by CooRie.

This show comes to mind every once in a while. It had such a damn weird feel to it, and an (almost hilariously) detached main character.
The second arc (season) kind of fell off though.
??? So many shows I have known nothing about. It looks very weird, and weird is my business when it comes to being a fan of fiction.
Reminds me very slightly of FLCL and the upcoming Panty and Stocking (with Garterbelt). I love the art style. I’m not a study of art or animation, but the way this is shaded definitely appeals to me in a way no other anime does.
It has a nice look to it, but the show itself is more of a relaxed drama with some supernatural elements. This is from the guy who did (Ghibli’s) Ocean Waves / I Can Hear the Sea, and Shinigami no Ballad.
