NISA Acquires Haiyore! Nyaruko-san

NISA has acquired the domestic home video release rights to the 2012 Haiyore! Nyaruko-san television anime. The 12-episode series will be released on April 15 in a limited edition two Blu-ray disc collection that includes a hardcover illustration book a slipcase retailing at $64.99.

The romantic comedy parody inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s “Cthulhu Mythos” horror stories was animated by XEBEC. Creator Manta Aisora’s comedy novels were previously adapted into an earlier OVA and TV series animated in Flash by studio DLE. Xebec’s third adaptation of the novels was successful enough to receive a follow-up second season in 2013.
