New Video Game Movies Announced

According to the Hollywood Reporter, American production studio Crystal Sky, in association with Japan’s GaGa Communications, has acquired the rights to produce a $60 million American live action theatrical adaptation of the Tekken video game series.

EuroGamer has reprinted the official press release from New Line Films announcing New Line’s new plans to develop a live action film and possible film franchise based on the new PS2 riot simulation action game State of Emergency. Ironically this story about “social and economic chaos” in an “Orwellian future” will be produced by the team responsible for the “American Pie” movies.
