Manga Nominated for Harvey Awards Again

In what seems to be a now annual tradition, several manga titles have again been nominated for 2001 Harvey Awards, the highest recognition given to American comic books by the domestic comic book industry.

Akira and Lone Wolf & Cub have been nominated for recognition of “Best Graphic Album of Previously Published Work.” Both titles and Dark Horse Comics’ monthly Super Manga Blast have also been nominated for recognition as “Best American Edition of Foreign Material.”

The awards will be present at the 15th Annual Harvey Awards Banquet on Friday, April 26th at the Pittsburgh Comicon.
