Live Action Yatterman & Gatchaman Movies Announced

Japanese film production company Nikkatsu has formally announced, through its parent company Index Holdings, development plans for live action feature film versions of Tatsunoko’s 1972 Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatchaman and 1977 Time Bokan Series Yatterman anime television series.

Reportedly cult favorite director Takeshi Miike will helm production of the Yatterman movie, for a tentative release in early 2009.
