The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that former Alias TV series writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will compose the screenplay for DreamWorks/Paramount live-action Transformers movie. Steven Spielberg will executive produce.

The Hollywood Reporter has also reported that Paramount and C/W Productions have hired Japanese Ring and Dark Water director Hideo Nakata to direct an American remake of the 2002 Chinese horror film The Eye.
