Legendary to Resurrect Godzilla

Legendary Pictures (300, Watchmen, The Dark Knight) has acquired the rights to produce a new American Godzilla movie from Japanese master licensor Toho. The film will be a relaunch of the Godzilla franchise in America, not a sequel to director Roland Emmerich’s successful but widely panned 1998 Godzilla movie. Legendary hopes to have the film ready for release in 2012.
