Korean Government to Sponsor Animation Industry

The South Korean Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced earlier this week that it plans to spend $76 billion won (US $75.9 million) over the next five years to cultivate the Korean animation industry “into a more creative entity that sells its own products” instead of just providing cheap labor for foreign animated films.
