Really? I thought it seemed like a rushed cop-out of an interesting plot.

Eh I'm agreeing with you. I thought there was going to be MUCH more going on, but they just left everything to the last episode and then crammed it into an hour. Nothing was explained very well either.. They didn't even explain how they got Tenzin and his family!

At the last episode (11) Lin tried to stop them but she couldn't... so the ships continued after Tenzen and Co... (I wasn't surprised to see them captured by Amon)

AND FINALLY - Mako and Korra!! I knew it!

I thought these 2 episodes were really good. I didn't think it felt rushed at all.

Iroh fire-flying was awesome.

I knew Korra wouldn't lose her powers for good...and I knew that was Aang behind her and not Tenzen.

Is there any news on Season 2?

She took down the one and the other was shown turning back.

I stand corrected... Still I'm not surprised they were captured. Did you really think Amon was going to let them get away?

Well, considering I thought they were going to play out the Amon plot in the next season - yeah. I was sorta' expecting a season of role reversal with Korra and co in hiding while Tenzen was off in the Fire Nation planning the assault to take back the city.

After he found out about Amon, I was sorta' expecting the Lieutenant to grudgingly join them too.

Doesn't that sound better than "Lol, he gave up and a ghost showed up and rectified all the major problems" ?

But there is no guarantee that there will be a second season... so they had to wrap up as much as possible in this one.

Amon is still out there. He hasn't been defeated yet. Although I'm sure once Korra gets him, she'll remove his bending.

Also I didn't think Korra would lose her bending. She's the Avatar... Hard to be an Avatar and not be able to bend. I think Aang healing her was the best option. She had to get something from him (either him doing it or teaching her how to do it).

Adult Aang really really throws me off... I mean he looks weird... and not like the young Aang I grew to love in A:TLA.

Do you really think a waterbender died in the water?

Considering they made it so obvious that he knew what Tarloc was doing, I'm going to have to say "yes".

The problem is by wrapping everything up in the first season finale, what's left ?

Personally I think they missed a good opportunity for her to basically start from scratch & have to find a way regain/re-master the abilities she had taken away. While this might be too similar to the original series it segues into the whole water, earth & fire chapters. Also it would be pretty humbling experience.

No, but possibly in the fiery explosion of the boat.

I finally sat down and watched every episode of the first season and it's really great!

That's what I was hoping would happen too. Maybe because this happened in the first Avatar series the creators wanted to go for something different so it wouldn't just be a copy cat of the original's plot?
