Watched the new ep. Maybe aang was some sort of bending genius or maybe korra's earth bending teacher was so far below toph, but man she sucks.

Aang laughs at your chi blocking...kids these days

I haven't seen her using any techniques not known by generic bender #34 (with the exception of tunneling to escape detection by white lotus guards)

Even regular rock armor would result in some broken fingers...or hell even normal armor. I dont like the idea of making an enemy more interesting and threatening by making the hero more stupid or weak. Make the villain better, not the other way around.

I'm telling you, Korra may know how to bend the three elements but I dont think she's truly master every one of them. Maybe water bending, but I doubt she has mastered the other two. Though I am not sure as to why they'd let her move on. The only real gauge of how long it takes an Avatar to master each element is through the flashbacks that we saw from Avatar Roku. Based on that events, it looks like it takes several years to master each. That woman needs to go back and practice some more.

^That may be all well and true. I have to agree because as of right now, even if she -knows' 3 of 4 elements, she's going to be weak towards Amon (and some others...) in the long run. That is obvious.
However, it is possible she's holding back and maybe not showing her full potential. Although, this seems unlikely because of how head-strong/ ready to fight. It seems she would be less willing to show off her stuff. (I hope this makes sense... It made sense in my little head. lol)

It will take her a while to become a fully realized Avatar imo. I think she was pushed too early to learn the other elements. Plus I remember the first episode where her mentors have told her that while she may have mastered the physical aspects of the three elements, she hasn't mastered the spiritual side of it. I think that is what is holding her back and her progress.

Im saying, korra had more than 7 years of training (really she looked like she was 7 when they picked her up so prolly more like 10). Aang had how long before he was applying even earth bending. Even taken the fact he was being taught by probably the best earthbender ever, and he was some sort of bending genius, it still took way less than a few years for him to use better techniques in all of them.

Looking at her physical and personality nature, earth should be natural to her.

Aang was in a desperate situation however - master the four elements or allow the Fire Lord to take over the world.

Korra's grown up in a time of peace and prosperity. The only drive she has to master the four elements is her own passion and ego. I imagine she's never been put into a life-threatening situation. Also, as mentioned, she doesn't have a grasp on the spiritual connection to being the Avatar, unlike Aang.

I like how bolin ran away in this episode like a maiden in distress

Personally i think it would be cooler if she got with him but you know, hes not 'cool' and angsty enough for the twilight girlies

More interesting to me anyway, we see korra using

an advanced water bending ability. Yay!

I feel like such a doofus for finally noticing that each character, depending on what country they are from, the color of their eyes represent the country that they are from...I checked with TLA as well and its consistent with team Avatar.. well Toph but that's because she is blind.

Maybe their parents are from a different nation? Because Sokka is a non bender with blue eyes. But you are right, it's not consistent because Suki is from Earth Nation and she doesn't have green eyes.
