Alright.. So thought I'd challange y'all into thinking of you're 5 TOP favorite shows.. Go ahead and list you're favorite 5 episodes and maybe a small description why you like them.. Each episode on the list should come from a different series just to make the choices even harder for you

For example you cant pick episode #345600 of DBZ as you're #1 favorite and then have DBZ episode #33322302320 as you're #2 favorite.. Also keep in mind that spoilers should be used as needed!

Ever notice how episode 12 or 6 is usually a good episode? Anyway...

ROD the TV 1: This first episode is probably the best FIRST episode i have seen. Terrific music, good intro to characters, lots of action that elevates all the way up to the pulse pounding end. The show slows way down after this episode for a while (im not complaining) and then comes back again later (magi-chan vs hong kong guy is epic too)

Hilarious and well played gag episode.

Full Metal Panic TSR 6: The hair cutting scene, and then the suppressed emotions suddenly breaking out of sagara, smashing his laptop. Definitely one of my favorites and good development from both main chars.

Steins Gate 22: Yes, im a romantic at heart, and this episode was awesome for me.

especially since they are so rare in anime. Usually anime dudes just beat around the bush until the show ends. But okabe is too awesome for that.

For me favorite episodes have to be forever burned in my skull with that said these fit the bill.

Monster ep. 44 Double Darkness
Mentioned this one several times before and if I recall this was my favorite one of the last decade since it was burned thickest into my memory but

Perhaps the cutest n' most charming little episode I've seen period.

Dennō Coil ep.12 "Daichi's Hair Begins to Grow"
Very fun, neat and innovative episode from a very under-rated cyber themed(rare for me to like) series.

Death Note ep.37 "New World"
Wasn't too hyped on the second half but this "cut the tension with a knife" climactic pay off finale was perfect.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ep.19 Death of the Undying
Not just a major turning point but an awesome showcase for one of my favorite characters. I said burned into my skull this did it quite literally.

These were my two favorite episodes out of the series. I really thought someone got murdered but it turns out not. Just a great episode all around.

Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex episode 21 Eraser

SPOILER! (highlight to read):

This episode had everything a great plot, lots of action and great music. I remember the first time watching it. I thought the Major was going to get killed by the arms suit.

Zeta Gundam episode 49 Going with it for the same reason as Mechafan

And last but not least Elfen Lied episode 1. The only reason I put this down is because this is the first anime series I watched after a few years break and what got me interested in it again.

Evangelion episode 18. Say what you will about the ending of the series, but this episode was brutal- in a GOOD way.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood episode 50:

This is the single episode with the highest Holy S**t Quotient, though several episodes in the final arc come really, REALLY close. If you like Mustang, you'll love this one.

i dont have favorite episodes but i like some in monster, some in evangelion, berserk has a few good ones. x tv i really liked a couple of those also utawatamono the guy with the mask i cant spell it had good episodes and i like a few from solty rei. there is alot more but so many.

Trying to limit this to my favorite episode per series, since some shows can just dominate (plus sometimes I'm bad at remembering individual episodes.) I tend to remember and love shows in moments, not by episode, but here it goes, not in any particular order.

Arnold It's raining. Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: The NEW WORLD! Posts: 9,704 Blog Entries: 1	Evangelion episode 18. Say what you will about the ending of the series, but this episode was brutal- in a GOOD way. The way the tension was mounting as Shinji was completely helpless to stop Eva Unit 01 while it was completely mauling Unit 03 was riveting. And keeping in mind that the 03 pilot was Touji- that just made it even harder to watch. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood episode 50: The beginning of the end. Here starts the most exciting and tightly written story arc I've ever seen, the Promised Day finale. The first 49 episodes were all setup for the last 15. Mustang's coup in Central gets the ball rolling, and it doesn't stop rolling until the end. Characters you haven't seen in a long, long while pop up to help out, and it ends on the perfect note with the activation of the homunculus army. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood episode 19: This is the single episode with the highest Holy S*t Quotient, though several episodes in the final arc come really, REALLY close. If you like Mustang, you'll love this one. And not just for the badass "burned my wound closed" flambe of Lust- watching him turn the water in the room into hydrogen and oxygen gas is great too, especially when Havoc tosses the lighter in and ignites everything in a giant fireball. Gunbuster episode 6: The sacrifice Noriko and Kazumi had to make in order to save humanity against the aliens is astounding. Their job is to protect the black hole bomb, a bomb that would wipe out the alien presence, but when the detonator for the bomb is destroyed, they have no choice but to activate it themselves using the Buster Machine, which causes them to experience extreme time dilation to the tune of waking up 12,000 years into the future. Seeing the words "Welcome Home" light up on the surface of future Earth after a moment of total darkness is one of the most emotionally gratifying endings I've ever seen. Maison Ikkoku episode 96 Watching Godai and Kyoko get married after 90+ episodes of romantic tension and buildup is quite the amazing payoff. What pushes it to the top, though, is the epilogue at the end. What this ending understands is that these are characters that grow and change over a certain time period and you want to see how they do as the months pass on. So when they ended the show months after the wedding with the return of the Godais from the hospital with newborn daughter in tow, I started to get emotional. And when Kanashimi wo Konnichiwa played over the final moments as you hear the voiceover of the first time Godai and Kyoko met, I was bawling. __________________ "You told me I couldn't kill you, but I'd like to try and prove you wrong! Mr. sickVisionz Your baby mama's favorite AN member Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 2,561	My real list: Naruto #30 - Sasuke vs Orochimaru Bleach #219 - Hisagi vs Findor Bleach #252 - Kouga vs Byakuya Bleach #293 - Aizen solos all of Soul Society Naruto Shippuden #167 - Naruto vs Pain I'm not one to rewatch anime episodes and I've never rewatched an entire series (not even of my favorites) but I've seen these episodes (and by episodes I mean fight scenes) an ungodly amount of time. In the time I've spent rewatching Bleach #293 and Shippuden #163 I could have completed multiple 26 episode series. The List Where Every Spot is a Different Show: Bleach #293 (40+) - Aizen Solos Soul Society. I can watch this all day. I love seeing people who are arrogant get their * kick and practically everyone in Bleach is arrogant. For all of them to get beaten back to back in one episode was outstanding, even better that it was done by someone who is insanely arrogant. Plus the music is really good. Naruto Shippuden #163 (20+) - The animation is pretty amazing and the cinematography, for lack of a better word, is pretty outstanding all the way through. Naruto #30 (15+) - One of my favorite fight scenes with one of my favorite characters. Evangelion #18 (7)- The battle sequence in this one was great. The animation is nice and like Shippuden #163, it seems like every frame and camera angle was obsessed over to the point of perfection. Story wise what happens is pretty intense as well. Fullmetal Alchemist #25 (5) - I like Hughes' death. I remember being upset about it and the funeral at the end almost made me tear up some. The reveal in the story was cool, I like the music a lot and the fact that Hughes, a non-alchemist, "killed" two Humonculous always impressed me. Especially the knife through the skull. The Yamato is drawn into the Gamilon sea and subjected to the full spectrum of Gamilon's arsenal. To defend itself, Yamato sets off a planet-wide volcanic eruption with the Wave Motion Gun. By the end of the battle, the Yamato is blown halfway to Hell, taking the Gamilon High Command (and their capital city) with it. Ranma 1/2, Episodes 141-142: "From The Depths Of Despair (Parts 1 & 2) Ryoga learns the Shishihokoudan, a technique that allows him to use the power of his depressed chi in an attack. The attack blows Ranma away until he figures out a way to combat it. Cowboy Bebop, Episode 20: Pierrot le Fou I've probably rewatched this episode more than any other episode in the series. The villain is creepy as hell, and it's one of Spike's better fights. Ouran High School Host Club, Episode 1 One of the best-written first episodes of any series I've ever seen. The humor (with Checkov's Vase; the light bulbs) was absolutely brilliant. Remains my favorite episode of the series 2. Hunter X Hunter Episode 61 Spider Rendezvous × Zoldyck Family × Final Battle Lot goes on in this one. Big points for the Spiders taking out the mafia with ease and of course Chrollo and the indoor fish scene is one of the most awesome and disturbing things in any series 3. Turn A Gundam Episode 50 Golden Autumn: The single best ending to any series I have seen. 4. Monster has quite a few but Episode 37 When Roberto pops up in front of Tenma as he hesitates and suddenly you see Johan's actual plan. 5. I also thought Kallens re-cap on the aftermath is perfect.. Also loved how the ending is some-what open ended when it comes to Lelouch. #2 Episode 21 Infinite Ryvius Fiana has a hit-squad of lonley teenage girls.. Aoi and Kouji finnally kiss, the scene before it is still one that is fresh in my mind today.. Very intense episode. #3 Episode 26 Planetes I also liked episode 25.. Enjoyed Hachi's drowning scene lol.. But episode 26 has to be my favorite of the series.. Mainly because it has such a great marriage proposal.. Then at the end you see Tanabe is pregnant. #4 Episode 19 Rahxephon This episode still sticks out among the others for me.. I felt the anime did a poor job of really making Ayato feel attached to Asahina; but it was still very powerful when he beat her to a living pulp without actually knowing he was doing it.. And then to find her note at the end.. Powerfull stuff. #5 Episode 49 Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Katz dies!! YES!! This episode was defiantly worth it just for that.. Episode 20 of Scrapped Princess The Peacemakers' plan is revealed and the reset starts, just awesomeness pure and simple. Episode 13 of Elfen Lied The death of the little girl in her father's hands as he detonates the bomb, Lucy's impossible love for Kotha, it just made me so sad. Episode 22 of Chrono Crusade Aion using Rosette for his plans, the chaos, the fight between the jewel sisters. Awesomeness blended with sadness. Cardcaptor Sakura Episode 66 "The Person Sakura Likes Most" Picking just one episode from CCS is incredibly difficult because the show is just filled with so many amazing episodes. I love this episode because it's such a pivotal episode that leads into the conclusion of the series. Sakura confesses to Yukito, who explains to her what her real feelings are, which would in turn begin to lead her to realize her feelings towards Syaoran. Full Moon wo Sagashite Episode 42 "Eternal Snow" This episode is probably the biggest emotional killer in any anime I've seen, and it's one I've never personally been able to go back and watch, it still stays strong with me. Saikano may have been soul crushingly depressing throughout, but FMwS manages the same effect in essentially one episode. Thank god for the amazingly uplifting finale, which on the other side of the coin, is probably the happiest I've ever been finishing a show. Top wo Nerae! Gunbuster Episode 6 Incredible epic finale after the amazingness of episode 5. Using black and white to show scale is an interesting effect but most importantly just gives this episode such a distinctive feel. It's really a pure classic, there isn't much out there that tops this single episode, I have a hard time putting my love for it in words. Welcome Home. Hajime no Ippo Episode 75 "One Step Further" Ippo v. Sendo is such an amazing fight, it got me pumped up like I was at a live event, it was so seriously intense. The finish is amazing in this emotional conclusion to one of the best fights in the series. 5 Centimeters per Second Episode 1 "Oukashou" Is this an odd choice? Maybe, but 5cm/s remains one of my favorite "movies" of all time, and part 1, Oukashou is still my favorite part of the whole thing. The entire movie packs an emotional punch, but I've always loved the story of Oukashou. (highlight to read): that episode where they try to find whats under kakashi's mask, mainly because it is the only filler episode i loved out of any series i think. baccano! episode 8 SPOILER! (highlight to read): i think thats the episode that was all about isiac and miria if so then yeah I liked this episode because issaic and miria are hillarious and very entertaining. one piece SPOILER! (highlight to read): The episode where garp catches up with luffy and we find out he's his granpa. This episode was very funny to me death note SPOILER! (highlight to read): the episode where L was first introduced.
