Anime that would be made better with genderbent characters

Traps, characters who permanently change genders through magical/sci-fi means, characters who switch genders due to temperature of water... as anime fans, we've all seen it before, it's nothing new. I'm certain many of us wish we could change genders ourselves.

How about those casts out there that you would like to see change genders?

Like Naruto. SasuNaru would have a lot more merit and be a lot hotter if both were female. The fans agree.

How many of you ladies turned off on moe and cute girls doing cute things would suddenly perk up if shows like K-ON were all guys?

"We're the Backstreet Boys, only less gay!"

So, any other genderbending you'd like to see?

You are honestly going to love you some One Piece, because the fanart is actually justified.

The two titles that come immediately to mind are Evangelion and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I'm not saying it would have been "better," but it might have been fun to see a genderbent version of Full Metal Panic!. (I say that because I wonder if the character archetypes of Sousuke, Kaname, and Tessa would have been as great even if all their genders had been reversed.) My mind just can't help but wonder what things in the plot might have changed or stayed the same with such a difference...

Changing gender would be interesting so I can make love to a woman as a woman. Now this thread is Clayton approved

Seriously though; I really enjoyed the show as it was but it would be funny and most likely quite entertaining if Lelouch from Code Geass had been in a genderbender.

The only thing I don't like about fan made gender switch of characters is that when they make a really good one you find yourself saying "Wow, Naruto's sexy." and then it leaves a dread that doesn't go away easy.

Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter!!!

I swear I had like a man-crush on Kurapika for a long time, hoping there'd be some direct revelation that he was a she.

I have yet to see an Anime concerning a battle of wits between two female main characters. I wonder if Death Note would be any better genderbent.

Evangelion. Shinji would probably be more tolerable as a shy, wallflowery girl.

But I bet Rock and Revy don't have Sousuke and Kaname's wonderful comedic dynamic...

Okay, I really have no right to say that since I have yet to see Black Lagoon, but I'm just guessing since BL never struck me as particularly comedic, whereas Full Metal Panic! really had that comedy aspect working for it even amidst the dramatic elements of the story. But would that comedy have been the same even if Sousuke had been a girl and Kaname a boy? I wonder.

Here you go: Code Geass: Genderbender!

And even I must admit that this version intrigues me much more than the original set-up did. In particular, I think that Suzaku's and Kallen's characters would have benefited from gender reversals... The only ones I would truthfully miss as their original genders are C.C. and Euphemia.

I wonder how it would affect Orange.

Speaking of Black Lagoon, there was a genderbending version.

Yes, but then Asuka would be a manwhore, and that'd be creepy as all hell.
