Looking for anime like Ebichu

I wouldn't consider Ebichu hentai because of it's humor. Is it? It does depict doggy-style sex (quite comically I might add). I'm looking for something that will make me laugh like Ebichu.

BTW, I'm finally learning some japanese slang thanks to Ebichu.

Ebichu No Hamster is a 15 minute adult anime segment that used to air on TBS from October 1997 to April 1998. It was produced by GAINAX, and broke new ground being raunchy,risque and controversial. Since the animation is simluar to Shin-Chan, it can't be can't be called hentai.

Looking for ecchi comedies that cross the line? Well,I'll recommend a few:

Otenki Onesan.(Weather Report Girl). I can't recommend this OVA enough, if you like low brow sorority humor, girl-on-girl action, and if your into yuri femdom. Check this out.

Buttobi CPU. Really funny,cute and sexy.

My My Mai. This underrated,overlooked gem is worth looking into, its suprisenly really kawaii, and lighthearted. With a bit of filler.


Something close enough to hentai? How about Mail Order Maiden 28.

Oh yeah and Puni Puni Poemy is outrageous.

Where did you find that name? I recall it as Oruchuban Ebichu. I didn't really enjoy it as much as many people do. It's alright. I might recommend Golden Boy to someone who loved this. Personally I'm pretty disgusted by that series, but it might be considered similar.

On the other hand if you just want something that I actually enjoyed, I'd go with "Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge". Each episode is made up of two different segments, "Zettai Seigi Love Pheromone" and "Soreyuke! Gedou Otometai". The two parts are linked in... ways which would be better to watch than read about. It's incredibly funny, slightly risqué and one of the best things I ever watched.

Sorry. Haven't seen Ebichu in a few years. I forgot that Oruchuban No Ebichu translates to "The Housekeeping Hamster"(You can actually view all episodes online.) Ebichu not only talks, she's a dirty and naughty Hamster.

Its pretty screwed up and bizzare. Funny you mentioned Golden Boy. Not only do I have an ADV print signed by Doug Smith, but Mitsuo Iwata ALSO was in Ebichu.

Akihori Gendou Hour Rabuge is one of my favorite R2 titles. Its not only on my Sentai Filmworks wishlist on titles I'm praying that Section23 would license, its funny as hell!But its a little too tame to be ecchi. Except maybe some pedophilic undertones.

If Sentai ever licensed this title it would probably be called "Super Love Phermone Gendou Witch Sister Super Sentai Show".

A bit too tame... yes. I can't think of many series that really do a good job of mixing the funny with the sexy and get both right. It's a hard combination.

Thanks, I've added Mail Order Maiden 28 to my wish list. I've seen the others. Weather Report Girl was pretty raunchy and funny. I think these titles contain the allure of sex whereas Ebichu focuses crude comedy. I guess you could say Eiken was along those lines but I think it was more what producers could get away with rather than comedy.

Well, I guess Solazar was probably turned off by Doug Smith's goofy dub preformance, which can be a little obnoxious at times but if you don't take it too seriously, its a riot.
Its sad, that she doesn't like it because Episode 2 and 3 have serious non comedy moments

Episode 2 having a biblical reference where Yuka frames Kintaro for rape to get even with him, and then relents the truth we she realizes he won't make any excuses and tries to protect her from telling her father the truth. And in Episode 3 where Kintaro has to save a supposdley kind and naive Christian family from losing thier Noodle shop from an elaborate ponzi scheme orhestrated by thier daughter Noriko's steady boyfriend Kogure and his mistress. Kogure even tries to date rape Noriko, but Kintaro is able to avert it. But the best part comes when Kintaro finally defeats Kogure after seeing Noriko heartbroken learning the truth.

As for Eiken, the only thing that sucks is the dub. It just horrendeous. The story itself is substandard and linear and the ecchi itself is mediocre with an overdose of panty shots. But if you read the manga, its exactly the same way.

If you ever watch Eiken, keep the english track off. Its totally unwatchable and unlistenable. Just watch the sub.

Absolutely not. It has nothing to do with the dub. It has to do with me finding the content disgusting on a visceral level. The guy licks toilets. It had some funny moments, but then Kintaro would start doing something revolting and I would feel physically sick. He's just one nasty, nasty creature.

I've read the manga series. There's actually both and ecchi and softcore hentai version. The ecchi version is heavily story driven and the softcore hentai version is unbelievably stupid funny, absurd,dumb and weird.

Soluzar is a she? Golden Boy is definitely from a guy's perspective. I'm hoping you liked Ebichu then. It's more of a neutral perspective. Joe, I watch my shows subtitled ever since 2004 when I couldn't stand ADV's dub of Saiyuki.

Jatz, I read both versions online a couple of years ago back in 2009. The ecchi or official manga version from Dragon Ace used to be availible on MangaFox who also had the Buttobi CPU manga as well and the softcore version on a Manga site called Mangagogako(I'm not even sure they exist anymore and it doesn't really matter since I've lost the url a while ago.)

MangaFox REMOVED all unlicensed manga that was submitted without the publisher and creator's consent last summer, so both the ecchi Goldenboy and Buttobi CPU manga are no longer there.

I didn't know Soluzar was a guy. The MLP avatar confuses me, I though only girls watched that show? What is Valikyo a guy too?

Ohh... sorry, it's been a while. Well anyway the whole toilet thing just doesn't sit well with me. Even if it is fairly tame. Lotsa people love Golden Boy, I'm not one of 'em. Although there were a few individual scenes I enjoyed...

I'm the proud owner of a Y Chromosome, but the new MLP has surprisingly broad appeal. It's true that the older cartoons had a predominantly female audience, but the producer even publically commented on how many male fans the series has. In the MLP thread we outnumber the girls, I think. It's a funny show, screw gender roles.

Soluzar, I recall 3 unisex cartoons aimed at girls that both kids watched when I was growing up in the 80s: Rainbow Brite, JEM and Strawberry Shortcake. And I certainly LOVED and still love Rainbow Brite.
