Umm, Airbender was animated in Korea, anything else? and.. all of the big MMOs are from Korea(cept WOW, the AMERICAN videogame). When I was a kid, all of the cool toys, video-games and cartoons were from a very particular place in asia, and that was Japan. But Korea is doing something similar now. Help me pleas.e

I fail to see what the big deal is. Who cares who makes it so long as you enjoy it.

Lots of animation from around the world is outsourced to Korea because it's cheaper. Japan does it. America does it. Lots of places do it.

This is news to you? Like ^^^ said they make a lot of cartoons and anime. They also produce their own original 'anime' and 'manga'.
Check out the manga Shin Angyo Onshi, and the anime Winter's Heart for examples, gorgeous stuff.

Korean MMOs are awesome. I love stuff like Grand Chase and Dungeon Fighter Online.

I wish the Korean MMO "Blade & Soul" would come out, as I kind of want to check it out. I'm a sucker for Hyung Tae Kim character designs, and this is the first MMO he's worked on I believe. It's also a more action based MMO, which sounds better than all of the others I've tried.

Actually Korea does have some very good MMO's coming out.. But their share of the market is relativley small compared to the American companies.. ATM Blizzard is the giant, no ones gonna beat it.. And Trion's Rift probably has the 2nd healthiest population.. AION did have a few million subs but it floundered them away in the USA and i don't think it'll ever get the ammount of people it got when it launched (trust me, there were LOTS of ppl in that game at launch it was crazy crowded.) AION is still thriveing in europe and korea though.
I've got my eyes on Terra and Archeage.. Two Korean MMO's that i suspect will make a splash on the market.. I doubt either of them will compared to WoW or Rift.. And with SWTOR on the horizion the MMO market is getting crowded.. I myself have been waiting for SWTOR for years, but i'am so satisfied with Rift i doubt I'll be leaving now.. But when Archeage comes out i'am defiantly gonna be all over it, that's how good of a game Archeage looks to be.. Defiantly more then you're usually "korean grinder MMO", it's got innovations i've never seen any MMO pull off before. Quote:
It's been on my radar for years.. But latley NC SOft has gone quiet about updates and I've heard rumors that it won't even be localized anymore.

K-pop is very popular just as much as J-pop. Anime and video games are made there too. Korea produces some good stuff. Korean soap operas are very popular in some parts of Asian..probably more so than Japanese shows.
