I don't see the point in moving them, considering I would probably only lose about 50 posts max if they were moved this is not a biased opinion lol.

Why are you so upset? It’s not like the threads got deleted, they were just moved to PB&G where they belong. PB&G is still apart of AN you know.

Anyways, personally I feel that post’s in the General Off Topic section should not count towards a persons post count because the General Off Topic section (just like the PB&G section) is not about anime/manga/video games

To start things off, I moved Things you Love and Things you Hate ... to the PBG section but I didn't move "what do you feel right now?" since it was voted upon on this thread. For some reason post counts didn't decrease when I moved them (I guess since AN was having database problems all afternoon) so be happy about that.

Personally speaking, I think its asinine people actually care about this stuff (post counts) but I know some people do (mainly the newer members) and we will upset them so we have to keep that in mind. If you really want to know whats going to happen, most threads will eventually get prunned in the future when the database gets maxed out just like how it happened a few years ago everyone will lose their post counts. I've lost a good 7K or 8K myself since way back then. I stopped caring about it a long time ago and people now should too. Post counts now are just your current post counts until the database gets cleared again. Leader Desslock was correct when he said "It's not about quantity of posts, but quality!!"

Alright, post the threads you want to be closed and restarted and we will go from here. We may have to delete them to save space on the database because these threads are all so large. If you guys want, we can poll to get them removed afterwards.

Of course, I'd prefer these threads not be remade but that's just me. Listening thread is easily the one I'd kill first and foremost, it has nearly 19,000 posts and they're all pretty meaningless when you think about it.

Those particular threads there would be better off just closed and restarted if they were gonna be edited at all to begin with which they shouldn't though but that's just my opinion on those threads.

If they were gonna be edited or moved at the very least archive them if anything was to happen though.

Vai please don't take this the wrong way but if you don't like the threads then why not simply avoid them? Why close them so no one else can post in them?

I don't like the Daily Computers and Tech thread or the Pro Wrestling thread mainly because I don't understand or care about computers or wrestling but I don't think it should be closed for everyone. I just don't go in there.

If you feel a thread is spammy or redundant then why not ignore it and let those who enjoy it do what they want to do?

I wasn't a huge fan of the what are you listening to thread mainly because I felt it didn't serve a purpose at all. The entire thing was youtube links nobody clicks and songs by artists I never heard of and wouldn't research most likely.

This being said, it seems unfair to call for the thread's execution simply because I didn't care for it. It was fun to some, and it didn't affect my life at all, so who cares?

Keep in mind that I'm not trying to demean you in any way or start a fight, but to me it just seems like a waste of energy to crusade against a thread rather than ignore it.

If I misunderstand you in any way please feel free to correct me.
