The two weapons thing made me mad, but they sort of made up for it by making trip mines and pipe bombs a separate button instead of weapons you switch to and use. So you can have the shotgun out then chunk a trip mine while shooting.

Wow 3.5 review on game stop? The user reviews are actually not that bad though.. A lot of 7.5-10's.

ROFL, even the guys in charge of 2K Games PR were butthurt by the harsh criticism about their poor mediocre game, blacklisting sites with poor reviews was even an option from Jim Redner of the Redner Group, too bad the news got out quite quickly and 2K games didn't like what they heard from Jim so they decided to let Redner group go as their PR.

Eh, I was planning to get this for a while now, hopefully sometime by July I can have my own opinion of the game after beating it and finding out if this was worth the wait.

I just played 2 multiplayer matches that were crazy exciting. They were King of the Hill rounds and my team was losing until the last 30 seconds in both matches. Somehow we took the lead and won both times. I got so much freakin' experience as well. I was at level 5 before playing tonight, and now I'm 15 I think.

I never played a Duke Nukem game before this one, and I honestly enjoyed myself. The puzzles were somewhat challenging, but were'nt as long as sin. The driving sections were small enough without having annoying controls. The bosses are fun, so are the enemies.

It's not perfect, but it's a good game.

And what's wrong with a classic thrown into modern times? This isn't Modern Warfare, this is Duke Nukem, a game that was on par with Doom I and II back in the day. Sure the reality factor is thrown out the window, but I'm sure every boss battle is real somewhere in the world too.

Reading more: Oh, you are siding with a classic instead of complaining that it isn't real enough. Like every other elitist gamer these days it seems.

It seems even a broken clock isn't right once a day, im saying its a hybrid that won't really satisfy anyone. Its not grimdark or "tactical" enough for the halo/space marine guys and its not insane and off the wall enough for the painkiller crowd.

The problem relies that it's a dated game that stayed in the past, it didn't get updated, it's like another horrible movie from Austin Powers being stuck in the 60s trying too hard to fit in the year 2000. I'm not even going to compare it to Modern Warfare, I was just expecting a vintage game using newer and better gameplay, instead it got the worst of newer games like health regen, stuck with two guns, poor level design and outdated boring seesaw physics puzzles, with the same two types of enemies over and over. But hey it's Duke, that's the only argument that counts, why not toss $60 bucks down the drain just because the 14 year waiting period is finally over.

Maybe I'm just stuck in the past, and don't mind the old school game play to now.

Or perhaps I'm looking at it in a blind prospective, due to not playing the game.

I will give my opinion about it when I'm playing, but just from the cover title and the past, I'm just simply stating what's wrong with keeping it the same.

I'm also not comparing the game to Modern Warfare, that's just the extent of the FPS world that's developing in people's minds in our current time. If it's not realistic it's not worth playing in other words.

I'm more or less comparing Duke Nukem to Quake, or Doom, and seems like Halo right now.

So, pretty much this game doesn't deserve as terrible of reviews that it is getting. But we are forgetting the two different top secret formulas in which FPS games are reviewed now.

*If the game is not like Call of Duty, bash the game and lower the score for not being as "Awesome" as said game Call of Duty.*

*If the game is like Call of Duty, bash the game for being unoriginal and lower the score.*

Pretty much every FPS game review I have read since MW4.

NOTE: The game is overpriced. And IGN pretty much took the "Power armor is for pussies" joke as a personal insult.

This is why I brought up MW, becuase it's the typical elitist FPS gamers argument these days.

The game seems to be loaded with memes and jokes about it's history, hell I'm surprised the game doesn't tell you, "it's been 12 years and we're still kicking some F****** a** with the same game mechanics."
