^^^You may have a point, I heard of him when I saw his video on the airplane security officers who beat up a women for carrying a bottle that contained something for her eyes and I thought he was ok but then I saw the rest.

That's because you never spoke to Peggy Bundy... Just kidding.

As for this article, well the fact that I saw all the way through is my fault, I could have stopped reading but when something is so stupid it makes me laugh I just got to finish it, don't know why, kind of llike watching an Epic Fail video.

Does anyone actually take the guy seriously? He strikes me as a pompous gasbag.
The post I was just going to make.

To me he's the thespian version of Donald Trump. Just with a title in front, rather than the money behind.

Yes. Some people do indeed belive this guy and his advice.

@the thread itself

This doesn't surprise me one bit. Even Glenn Beck at times pushes this issue aboutthe impact of violent video games and what it does to kids.
This is actually one of the issues I do disagree with him on. Heck he even had Jack Thompson on his CNN program once.

All this is...is once again a push to try to control what we can play and what we can't.

I grew up playing and watching violent movies before i was even 18. I clearly knew this stuff was fake. Its just entertainment. Its not real.

sure there needs to be a bar set on what kids should play and not play, but let the parents do that. Last thing I think any kid wants is a shrink telling you your nuts for playing video games..sheesh.

That's an awful vulgar and violent type of reaction. What sorts of video games have you been playing at home recently?

20 years from now video gamers will have infiltrated the higher ranks of power. No longer will we be oppressed. Keep the faith, brothers!

^^What Holy Knight said made me think, it's all a generational thing, almost everything that was considered obscene and too much for T.V. 50 years ago is fine with everyone today. That is because of youth, when you think about it, those who critisize video games won't be in politics some years from now and the young people of today will be their replacement, since we grew with video games we aren't going to pursue this witch hunt. Although by that time we will be opposing other things we though were innapropriate today and the youth of that era will regard us as the old politicians who are ruining their entertainment, it's a cycle that starts over with each generations. Although, regardless of the time there is always a group of oddballs who critisize everything others do. Personally I say if it's all fictional and no one is harmed by it's making or by it then why is there a problem, unless someone is abused or harmed in the making of the game people should just STFU.

So when kids have anxiety, which they do, instead of soothing themselves, calming themselves, talking about it, expressing it to someone, or even expressing it emotionally by crying, they tend to externalize it.
Yeah right, if a kid has "anxiety" they call him ADDHD and pump him full of medications. That is better for them.

And since kids can't talk to anyone nowadays, it's best if they release that anxiety by killing some fictional video game characters. I remember shooting dudes in Quake 2 as being a good stress reliever from the grind of high school back in the day, haha. I'm certainly not a violent person, even tho I've been playing violent video games since they first appeared (Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct).

Video games are an awesome stress reliever. Although sometimes certain video games or parts of them can cause a lot of stress. Like Castlevania.

If games are causing you stress, you need to step back and reassess how you approach life.

So you've never gotten pissed off from constantly dying trying to do something in a video game?

^The worst thing is getting pissed off, once I was really pissed at being constantly beaten and I stop playing for a while, one hour later I decided to try again and since I was calm and thinking clearly what was once a challenge became almost easy.
