Olive Garden sucks. No, really, I detest them. I can't think of the last restaurant I went to...I don't go out much.

And I guess my present from Mom would count since I actually chipped in to help buy it. 720p HDTV, 32" flatscreen. Mainly wanted it because my PC monitor is 21.5" but I can't hook up older systems or my Wii to it, because it has no TV inputs.

I would focus on history. My love of fiction falls second to that. Too many people act like history is some old boring crap because they didn't have iPhones. History is extremely important because it's the foundation of pretty much everything in human existence. It helps us see why things are the way they are. I dunno what kind of student I'd invite other than "everyone ignorant".

I have a TERRIBLE, AWFUL sweet tooth. It causes me to seek out literally super sweet things. Can't be rich-sweet. Can't be sour-sweet. If I'm going to eat it: IT'S SWEET. Even sometimes extends to fruit choices (I love strawberries and bananas for example, and DETEST blueberries).

Depends. Genre fiction, the former, because in genre fiction you assume the audience is dumb and won't notice you're writing story-by-numbers as most genre fiction is (not that people realize this). Literary fiction you don't, typically.

It doesn't have turtle in it silly girl. It does have sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, caramel and chocolate though.

That's explaining the world though. I mean things like using flowers as symbols. There's practically a whole language using flowers as symbols but most people don't know it.

Sounds okaaaay.

And I dunno. I generally couch that sort of thing in dialogue if it's necessary to explain it or just don't bother to do so. If the reader doesn't pick up on it, well, ain't gonna harm my narrative. Symbology should not be anything vital to the story per se (unless it's simple and metaphorical, like BIRD VS CAT PREDATOR VS PREY etc in A Streetcar Named Desire, for example).
