What people? What do you mean? Nobody has forgotten Berserk, the manga has been ongoing for 20 years and it only gets more popular.

New trailer (110 seconds). I can't read Japanese, but it looks like the date changed from January 2012 to February 4, 2012.

Ok, im gonna have to admit some of that cgi looked bad. I was hoping they'd use it just on the bigger scenes with nameless soldiers/enemies but its everywhere. Griffs horse looked especially bad.

Let me guess, it will be IN 3D!!

The CGI & character designs look off to me but whatever, I still can't wait.

I am very excited about this. I have been resisting reading the manga so the story can be a surprise for me. I really hope there are a lot of movies and like everyone else i would have preferred a long t.v series.

Looks like all 3 Golden Age movies will be released theatrically by the end of 2012.

Quote:
Via ANN

The staff for the Berserk anime film project confirmed on Tuesday that the second and third films in the Golden Age trilogy will also open next year after February 4's Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen I: Haō no Tamago (Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler).

Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen II: Doldrey Kōryaku (Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Battle for Doldrey) will open in June and run for about 100 minutes. As the name implies, this installment will focus on the epic battle by the Kingdom of Midland to retake Doldrey Castle from the Chuder Empire.

Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen III: Kōrin (Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent) will open later in the year and run for about 110 minutes. In this film, the story "delves nonstop into the abyss of dark fantasy."

The first film will be about 80 minutes long and have 1,114 cuts. The second film will have 1,257 cuts, and the third will have 1,591 for a grand total across the entire trilogy of 3,962.

This is the first time I've paid attention to this "Golden Age Arc" stuff. At first I thought it was just going to be a trilogy and then they stop there, but I guess they plan to continue on and animate the story arcs in batches. Very nice that they'll all be out by the end of next year.

Sadly we'll likely have to wait for the Japanese DVD/Blu-ray release so it will be a long wait for us who don't live in Japan. Although there might be fansubs of cam rips but I'd rather wait

So, wait. I'm waiting for a movie that retells the story of a well-written anime that ended with a cliffhanger instead of a movie that actually, you know, continues the story? WTH!

If I understand correctly they'll continue it after the third movie, the first three are basically a remake of the Golden Age Ark if I'm not mistaken. I thought it sucked too, the first series doesn't need a remake.

I watched a Japanese show that showed clips of the movie and it looked great. It was the first movie and looked like a recap of the old series.
