it followed the comic modestly, kind of skips on on some epic monologue or soliloquies not sure what it's called...... I can tell you guys how it ends if you want?

Please don't! I haven't enjoyed TV this much since, well, ever I loved how the first episode was an hour and a half long.

They had great zombie models as well as terrific acting. Can't wait to see the next episode on Sunday.

I loved the high production movie quality to it. Frank Darabont is a great director and I'd expect nothing less from him. Really looking forward to the next episode. Now Sundays are really fun with Boardwalk Empire and The Walking Dead right after.

Haha, I loved the comic series.

I was pleasantly surprised with the premiere episode. I can't wait for the next episode. One of my favourite characters will be making his entrance. I loved the emotions. The acting was superb for the direful situations. This episode alone was better than 90% of the zombie crap-fests coming out on DVD in the past few years. Good stuff.

Watched it and enjoyed it, it's solid for a pilot and we'll see how much better it gets.

They had high quality "Reviewer" rips two weeks ago. That is how I watched it. I did of course watch it again.

Meh, I have some complaints already, too many new characters(Later in the season), and the zombies run too fast when in a frenzy. But I can live with that. And the comic series is far from over, Kirkman wants to do 1000 if at all possible.(They just hit 78, which was a great read.)

Let's face it, other than George Romero's Dead Trilogy there is little to no good Zombie dramas. Most Zombie movies other than his were bewbs and track running Zombies.

I recommend the comic series. Way too good, and there is no way this show will be able to stay true to it later on in the series.

^ Running zombies never made sense to me. Okay, a virus is a virus, but there's just no way that I can believe the virus can defeat rigor mortis. That's just stupid.

I did enjoy the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead. That's really the last zombie movie I thoroughly enjoyed. Despite so many people giving positive remarks about the remake of Dawn of the Dead, I didn't think much of it. And, I didn't hate the first half of Diary of the Dead either.

I just hope they don't jump the shark as much as the comic did, Don't get me wrong im not critical but when riot gear stops a full clip of m16 rounds I can't help but wonder what prescription the authors on.

As long as they keep the basic "You die, you become one." rule, I couldn't care less what they do.

28 Days Later is justified though. It's not the traditional "zombie" as it is people being infected by a virus that causes them to rage. Essentially, they're not "dead."

28 Days Later ripped off George Romero's 'The Crazies'.

PS: Land, Survival, and Diary were all good in their own rights. The latter two had a puny budget compared to this TV show even. But he invented the genre, so he does garner my respect. And Kirkman pretty much ripped off Romero when he first pitched the idea for this comic. The Walking Dead was going to originally be called 'Night of the Living Dead'.
