Hetalia English Dub Cast possibilities

Since there is 3 months left before the release of FuniMation's Axis Powers Hetalia DVD, there have been rumors that there will be a English dubbed cast for the series (50 to 1 odds). To be honest, I'd prefer the Subbed version better than the dubbed, if the US Dub played their cards wrong.

What do you think would be your dream English Cast for the anime?

I would explain to you what MY dream cast would be, but it's hard to decide.

It's funimation, they rarely don't dub. In before kulitsky33 asks if this is dubbed yet

Of course it will be dubbed, this is FUNi not Bandai.

From what I hear they're gonna give accents a try. I don't know anything about the show to say who I think is gonna be in it.

Steve Blum has never worked with FUNi.

I'm mostly hearing him in video games nowadays(Transformers: War for Cybertron, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, Dante's Inferno, etc.).

Why do you care? Its not like you watch them so they are irrelevant to you.

If it wasn't for dubs most of us would probably not be anime fans. If it wasn't for dubs anime wouldn't even exist in the US. Hate them all you want but if you don't see their importance then your just ignorant. Even John who doesn't like dubs would agree.

I would argue that being a dub crusader is equally as annoying as being a dub abolitionist. CrossboneGundam may be a pretentious weeaboo hipster-wannabe, but your relentless pro-dub zealotry gets pretty irritating too Levon!

The fact is that the majority of people will not watch screen media that is not spoken in their native language. Dubs will always be made. So CrossboneGundam you can proselytize about something else from your rising-sun-adorned ivory tower, and Levon you can stop nerd-raging any time anyone utters a less-than-complementary syllable about English dubbed Anime, because neither will change a thing.

Honestly, this is one series that I think shouldn't be dubbed. Part of Hetailia's charm is the fact that the Japanese actors are so hilarious and I'm not really sure if dubbing it and even trying to use accents will make it any better without sounding offensive. Especially when casting for Japan or China.

Something tells me they'll make Italy with a Sopranos accent

And there's really not a lot of females in Hetailia, other than Belarus, Ukraine and Lichtenstein
