If you could make an anime, what would your story be about?

Time to put up or shut up. If you were going to make an anime, what would your basic plot be?

Personally I'd like something where the bad guys can win. So maybe I'd get a group of five kids, all with really bad attitudes. Maybe all girls, maybe not. But they're basically all anti-heroes and very evil. Then it's revealed to them that they are really ancient demons who were put into human form for trying to overthrow the gods and were too powerful to destroy. But now the gods need their help because something else at least as strong as them has been let loose and while they want to rule the universe this thing only wants to eat it all. Like say the doomsday hound that legend says is held captive in the constellation Ursa Major and guarded by the Zorya sisters.

that sounds more like a summer blockbuster than an anime, to be honest.

Mine would probably be comedic and contain every single anime cliche known to man. Similar to excel saga, but less parody and more blatant ripoffs

Mine would be about this mysterious troll who likes to post weird topics on threads....

All kidding aside, I'd always liked Japanese mythology, so it'd be something based in that. And the artwork of Kubo meets CLAMP

Your plot is similar to that of Orphans of Chaos by John C. Wright, Clayton.

If I made an anime, it would adress the ethnical ambiguity in anime. It would be meta-fiction. It would contain a conspiracy about Japan and Germany, having been allied in WWII, having some Neo-Nazi agenda.

To me, anime characters look like able bodied Aryans.

As Loplop begins his new job at the Best Beauty Body Lingerie Company, little does he know that he's about to find himself in the center of a ring of business and sexual intrigue.

Charged to disrupt and eliminate the cohorts of an opposing faction, Loplop thrusts himself on the prowl after three of his sexy milfy co-workers around whom this sex drama spirals.

Sounds like the plot of Nazca.. just without the loose Inca civilization references.

I'd like some anime based off in Mexico. Sure, we have 1 episode of Digimon 02 and an episode of Red Baron that feature a battle in pyramid sites and that laugh inducing episode in Getbackers where the animators can't seem to agree whether the episode should take place in Tonina, Palenque or Tula, but there is no anime where the series in itself takes place in the country.

There's a lot of awesome mesoamerican mythology, and even stories of the conquest would make interesting stories. Making king Cuauhtemoc II the leading character would be interesting (though see him die from disease at such a young age would be sad). Could make a good drama series.

Course, stories about colonial Mexico, fight for independance, the 1910 civil war or the 1968 Tlatelolco incident could make other interesting plots.

I would probably make one about a woman assassin who falls in love. She is then told that it is interfering with her work, and so she is sentenced to kill the one she loves. Her boss says that she has seven months to do this. The story would revolve around that and the seven months that pass: what she does, if she kills him, if she runs away, that kind of stuff.

I would also like to see a very dark anime with gorgeous artwork about how the Grim Reaper came to be, and then about picking a new Grim Reaper. I've actually put this onto paper, and am planing to write a book about it.

WWII in space with (real robot style, semi-realistic) mechs

All of it including maybe something like the protagonists participating in a sci-fi version of the firebombing of Dresden or someone jumping into a foxhole by the roadside only to wind up sticking his arm through the rotting corpse of an enemy soldier that was killed in it a week ago. A sci-fi version of the fighting that went on in places like the Hurtgen Forest or on Peleliu without any whitewash.

No aliens. No moe characters. None of that.

I wonder if anyone would even want to watch it.

From the sound of it I think it would be something like LOGH in style.

Something like that yes.

Also, major characters could and would die without any warning at all. Most aerial engagements were decided in a single pass and Luftwaffe ace Eric Hartman said that 80% of his victims never knew what hit them. Things like that would happen. Two characters are flying along on patrol *wham* one of them expldoes out of nowhere. An enemy craft goes tearing by at high speed and escapes before the other guy can react. I might even nickname the pilot making the attack The Black Devil as a reference to the nickname that the Russians gave Hartman during WWII.

Michiko to Hatchin and El Cazador de la Bruja supposedly take place in mexico (or a fictional version of it). Definitely based off it at least.

Title of the anime: Oedipus Complex

Number of Episodes: 4 (OVA)

Genre: drama

Setting: Kyoto

Characters: Ichimaru Yuki (the son), Ichimaru Mariko (mother), Ichimaru Kaoru (father)

Brief plot description: Ichimaru Yuki was the reincarnation of the deceased love rival whom Ichimaru Kaoru (Yuki's best friend) and Mariko (Yuki's girlfriend) conspired together to kill. Yuki's previous incarnation fell in love with Mariko but was also betrayed by his best friend Kaoru. When he died, he swore revenge and promised that he'll do anything to be reincarnated. Later the betrayed person is now reborn as the son of the people who betrayed and killed him. When the child will grow to full maturity, he will make his plans to kill his father and marry and rape his mother.

Title of the anime: Senpai and Kouhai

Number of Episodes: 13

Genre: shounen-ai

Setting: Osaka

Characters: Masatsugu Shinobu (senpai), Awayuki Hideki (kouhai), Masatsugu Sumire (Shinobu's little sister), Awayuki Yui (Hideki's mother)

Masatsugu Shinobu: 17-year old 2nd year high school student and scion of one of the richest families in Japan. He is very popular with girls. He is very good at martial arts and sports. He is a member of his school's karate club.
His personality? He is calm, sincere, well-mannered and sweet towards girls.

Awayuki Hideki: 16-year old 1st year high school student and impoverished boy who barely remembers his father. He lives with his single 29-year old mother who works very hard to support herself and him after his father passed away. He works part time as well, since his mom can barely support them. He is also a member of the same karate club Shinobu is in. He is a quiet, frustrated and unsociable loner and sometimes takes out his frustrations on bigger bullies.

Masatsugu Sumire: Shinobu's 11-year old little sister who has admiration for her onii-chan Shinobu and a crush on Awayuki Hideki. She may be part of a love triangle, competing with her big brother.

Awayuki Yui: 29-year old mother of Hideki, who, at the age of 13, had ran away from home with Hideki's father. Several months later she gave birth to Hideki. Unfortunately the father died when Hideki turns 7 years old. She is a clerk at a grocery store.

Brief plot description: Masatsugu Shinobu and Awayuki Hideki are from two different, far-away worlds. Their backgrounds and personalities are completely opposite. Shinobu is rich and very sociable and has a big family. Hideki is poor and doesn't get along with others, and has only mother. Shinobu and Hideki are a grade apart , therefore they are in different classrooms. Shinobu is a senpai to Hideki. Hideki is a kouhai to Shinobu.
Ironically, Masatsugu Shinobu and Awayuki Hideki are members of a karate club at the same high school. That was the most likely place where Shinobu and Hideki frequently meet and gradually getting to know each other's personality, life and background. Shinobu develops sympathy towards Hideki for his sad history. Hideki looks up to Shinobu, like an idol.

Title: Beyond the Green Fields.

Episodes: 25

Setting: Saito Junior High Private School for the Girls in Kobe or Tokyo.

Major Characters:
Takei Ayame- a 23-year old male soccer team captain recruited to crossdress as a female coach of a junior high girls' soccer team.

Fukuyama Junko- the 14-year old captain of the Saito junior high girls team with an apparent crush on her crossdressing coach.

Summary: A 23-year old former professional soccer player named Ayame Takei, after recently resigning his captaincy in Japan National Soccer team, was approached by Hibiya Sato, the female principal of an all-girls junior high school with an offer of a coaching job. She recruited him, because she was impressed with his leadership skills that had almost won Japan first place in the World Cup international soccer tournaments. He, however, had to reluctantly agree on the principal's condition that he cross-dress as a female. The principal felt that the soccer playing girls would be more comfortable and more trusting around a female coach than a male one. So he cross-dressed as a woman and was introduced immediately by Principal Sato to the whole team. "She" impressed the girls so much with "her" good looks & natural beauty, efficient commanding skills and serious discipline, that they including especially Captain Fukuyama Junko had very good impressions of Ayame and all look up to "her" , though Junko admires "her" a lot more than the others do. No one except Principal Sato is aware of Coach Takei's true gender.
