Icon04 Favorite Macross?

What's your favorite Macross saga?

I'd have to say Macross Plus for me, But I like them all, least being Macross II, but that's an alternate dimension time line.

Though it has some cheesy moments, I gotta go with the original.

Plus as it's an awesome show and it was my first Macross show which I watched on Teletoon back on TV in the mid-90's.

DYRL a close second though.

I have to say Macross Plus. Short, but really, really good.

I'm going to have to give it to the original SDF Macross, with Frontier a very close second. DYRL was also very good.

I've only seen a few, but Plus is my favorite. The Cowboy Bebop director is amazing.

Macross Zero is pretty cool.

Frontier was fun, but highly overrated

It's between Macross and Macross: DYRL for me.

I vote for Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? movie.

I enjoyed Frontier, great music, action, and drama.

The favorite is SDF Macross by way of Robotech in the 80's, then bought the original black box version in the 90's and haven't looked back.

DYRL took a little while to get used to the re-versioning, but it's a close second.

Macross Plus has beautiful rendering, music, and the combat scenes are mesmorizing.

Macross II is fun to watch once in a while.

I watched Macross 7...once. Never again.

Haven't seen the others...yet.

Fans sure hate this one I liked it, very stupid but fun to watch. Outstanding animation & I really dig the music, although it does get repetitive at times.

^ It also has possibly the single biggest douchebag of a male lead character in all of anime. He alone is why I dropped it.

^ I've not seen that show, but I'd be surprised if any male character is more annoying than Basara Nekki.
