Oh Konami, I love how you promote

http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/200...tter_campaign/

Quote:

This one is from Aika Takane and it says "Hello, I'm Aika. I apologize for the sudden letter. Whenever I see you at this intersection every day, my heart starts beating fast. This is the first time I've ever felt this way. I don't know what to do. Even though I feel I should speak to you, of course I can't. So, I built up my courage and wrote this letter. I'm really sorry to suddenly bother you. I'd be happy if we could start by being friends."

Below that, the letter is signed Aika Takane, complete with a phone number.

Unfortunately, Konami decided to get all legal and include a disclaimer at the bottom revealing the letter to be a promotion for Love Plus. Really now, fooling some poor sap into thinking he has a cute little admirer, while cruel, should definitely not be illegal.

Yeah, they have declined so much over the years. My guess is because the story isn't good as what is was before + the genre is getting over saturated... kind of like FPS in America....lots get released, very little succeed.

Aw, that's so cruel and yet I... might still have bought that game if I could read it.

(it's probably not so cruel if the guys receiving the adverts realise it's pre-printed. If it was really handwritten... it could be a supereffective deathblow!)

Konami needs to get off their butts and make Tokimeki Memorial for PSP. My favorite pastime used to be skillfuly dodging social circle bombs on the super nintendo.

Now I skillfuly dodge and plant social circle bombs in real life

Isn't Love Plus that new dating sim that suppose to replace Tokimeki Memorial?

I don't see how this promotion is news, considering the kind of legal-hubbub promotional meterials get in America. Remember that whole advertisment that was mistaken for a "terrorist attack"?

Nothing really replaces a classic. I'd love to finally see a version of TokiMemo in English, even if that's a dream that will never come true.

You can never replace Tokimeki Memorial, I'm too busy to emotionally and physically abuse you so you go ahead and hit yourself with my belt in the corner while Biscuit and I play the Tokimeki Memroial MMO. We have a clan called "Soggy Biscuit" you'll never guess why.

The company placed hot girls at seven locations around Tokyo. Acting as characters from the game, the girls would simply hand out love letters to passersby.
There were actual girls handing out the letters? I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. Doesn't Konami realise that they've shot themselves in the foot?
