![]() Once again you are assuming that you will be able to buy the best gear with gold without any evidence to back up that claim. Here is a general concept on how the cashshop in GW2 will work. http://i.imgur.com/1haej.jpg

Path of Exile just revealed its final class, its a sadistic necromancer called a "shadow" who gets exiled for grizzly murders in which the victim get flayed alive. Thats pretty much the final push i needed to play this instead of a PG-13 necromancer called a witch docter in diablo 3. I've already got an Ice mage/Zombie summoner build setup for the public stress text this friday, I reccomend anyone looking for a Dark fantasy diablo style game to check it out the open stress test will last until sunday so plenty of time to play around.

I know how their cash shop works, they ripped it straight from Perfect Worlds book Its no wonder they did though considering how much money PW rakes in with its games (at the players expense in my experience.)I jus' can't agree with a game that'll give other players willing to fork out money an over-all advantage.. Maybe the best gear isn't bought with real cash, maybe the best gear is? Either way, a player can sale gems for real gold and purchase gear to have an advantage, weather it be early on or end-game gear. I'm all for cash shops with cosmetic items only or even the dreaded +50% XP boost stuff.. But when you allow the games main currency to be purchaseable with money then I'm sorry, IMHO the game is giving the advantage to those willing to pay.. And with my experience on other F2P games to keep up with others you're going to be paying a lot more money then a monthly sub would cost you. You assumed that only cash shop items were purchaseble with cash.. You assumed that PvP would only be done on equal gear.. I know I might've made some wrong assumptions myself about the game but I'm still sticking with my assumption that the game is P2W or boarder-line P2W.

I just watched the Starhawk review on IGN and Gametrailers and I've been pretty oblivious to the game up until now. Other than knowing its name and having a beta code from purchasing Uncharted 3 (which I never used), I knew next to nothing, but after watching that review, all I could say was "Wow, this game looks incredible!"
I mean, it's a third person shooter with a space western aesthetic ala Firefly, with Mechs that transform like a Macross Valkyrie, all with resources and base building/management as the crux to the gameplay. Like, what's not to like about that?! Now, for what bothers me. I don't know if I'm an outlier to this since I wasn't interested in this game to look up more info about it pre-release, but even so, why didn't Sony market the hell out of this game? Unless I was truly blind to it and they did, but I don't see why this isn't the PS3 game for the year to own. Even in my circle of gaming friends, most of which are rabid Sony fanboys, we've not heard anything interesting about this game or why we all need to want and own it. This is the sort of thing that honestly bugs me about Sony. They highlight games to sometimes insane degrees that properly shouldn't even get a second glance (God of War: Assesion, Smash Bros. Playstation Time Unite, etc.) and have interesting IP's that are poopoo'd because of it. It's just frustrating as a gamer to know that a company as good, creative and once ambitious as Sony just can't seem to get their crap together. |

In order to get advertising you need to have a color palette of mostly brown or gray, and mostly consist of Shooting things from cover.

It does look very promiseing but that youtube add was the first time I heard about the game I'll probably give it a shot when it launches in a few days.

I've been following Starhawk for a while, and I've honestly seen a decent amount of advertising for it (especially from the PSN blog which has had tons of interviews and articles about it). It's not really my kind of game, but it does look pretty decent. Warhawk was a pretty fun multiplayer game, so I expect the same from Starhawk I suppose.

Mario Kart
So apparently, you can do jump/drift around corners and you get a major speed boost. The game... is a lot easier now.

This explains why I have never been good at these games.

Until you get blasted by a spiny shell or lightning (the only completely unavoidable attacks) in single player (especially in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7), possibly resulting in losing the race when you should have won, possibly resulting in getting a lower rank than you should have after finishing the cup....
