I jus picked up a used 3DS for $150 at Game Stop.. Games were like $30-40 new too.. SF was only like $20 lol.

I'd import those prices are pretty outrageous.

I ended up not buying that one... I got a 3DS with no games for 200NZ which isn't far off 180US I think.

Yeah $179.99 was how much they were going new at Game Stop.. Sounds like ya did pretty good


edit: on another note.. Guess its time for to go down to Game Stop and get my pre-order on GW2 back.. I knew it was F2P, which rang some alarms for me, but I'd hope maybe the microtransactions would be limited to things that don't effect the game-play.. But I guess you can buy in game gold with real cash, that's pretty bad.

I guess i'll re-visit EVE/Rift/SWTOR from time to time and just wait for Archeage or Tera and hope they stick to the subscription model.. Gonna miss out on Diablo 3 too.

Which one are you talking about specifically? I don't disagree, the Armored Core games they ported (AC3, Silent Line, and Last Raven) were difficult and I still haven't completed Last Raven since even on PS2 it had nightmarish difficulty for series veterans like me.

Oh ubisoft, its a wonder you get any business at all. It seems Ubi has finally done something dumber then that "industructable DRM server" that went down in two weeks, now ubi has implemented an activation limit DRM that has a 3 machine activation limit and if that wasn't stupid enough apperently swapping out a video card/CPU/etc will cause the software to flag your computer as a new system and use an activation. EA tried to do this once but even they were smart enough to figure out how retarded it was.

Man, I thought I was only a few hours away from beating Tales Of The Abyss lol..

I just got to the part where you kill Sync and find out Tear is asorbing miasma and sick because of it.. I stabalized the core and all that.. Then I get told I have to go to all the sepherioths and stabalize them too now lol.

So now theres like 5 more dungeons and I scanned ahead on the walkthrough I've been referenceing (love being able to switch to internet while playing on the 3DS) and it seems like each dungeon has multiple puzzles + bosses to go with it..

Guess I'll just take a break from it for now because I was attempting to blow through it these last few days to get to Poke'mon Black but now that I have all this time left it dosn't seem like a good idea.. I'll play me some Poke'mon then get back to it

Played through Uncharted 3 on Crushing and cleaned up the remaining trophies. The multiplayer feels better from what little I played and I bet you money that's where the polish from the single player went. What they should have done is just a repeat of Uncharted 2's multiplayer and called it done, frankly.

Also began playing MAG again and the game is really fun. It's a shame it wasn't a bigger hit. Trophies are hard as hell to get tho (I've only got 2 of the Escalation trophies and two of the regular trophies left).

Played Diablo 3 beta this weekend. It was interesting. Not sure I will buy or not yet

Been playing allot of tribes ascend these past few days, not sure if I like it yet. It seems slower then tribes 2 and its suffered some CODization with regenerating health, no friendly fire (LOL generater room cluster!@#^), etc but the main thing is the player base these people are just to stupid to be playing a tribes game.

I've accepted at this point that all the progress we made with multiplayer in the 90's has been completely reset with cod and we've had to pretty much start from scratch but it seems to have permanently damaged the playerbase. Tribes is a capture the flag game yet no-one captures the !@%^ing flag and instead mostly play there own private deathmatch game in the middle of the map. most often games i join have like 1 guy on each team who knows how to actually play grab the other teams flag and zip around the map until someone finally kills him and the other guy can cap. basic crap like body blocking, chasers, mortering suppressions, routes, etc that most tribes 2 players could understand is completely lost on these people hell they can barely fix the generator half the time. Its so bad i can message 3 friends of mine to play a couple games together and we will have a 99% win chance on make with like 40+ people. tribes isn't like other shooters, if what your doing isn't capturing the flag, helping someone capture the flag, stopping the enemy from capturing your flag, destroying structures to make capturing the flag easier, etc then its completely pointless.

lol just got to what I "thought" was the ending of Tales of The Abyss.. Only to find out what I just did was all for nothing.. Idk weather I should be happy that theres more of the game to play (from what i read on the internet potentially 10-20more hours) or mad because I was really hopeing to wrap up the game today lol.. Im one of those people that generally can't start something else until I finish (or decide to drop) what I'am playing currently.

I don't feel like dropping Tales Of The Abyss but I also don't feel like putting another 20hours into the game, unless the "true" ending is going to be very satisfactory .. I'm already at 42hrs.
