What's so wrong with juice from concentrate?

Seriously?

I've heard people saying everything from how it's making kids obese to how its destroying the enviroment to how it's fulled with poisonous chemicals! I mean, do these people even know what "from concentrate" means!? Just the other day I saw a bottle of water with a note on the back saying "This water is not made from concentrate"!

And it's not just that, it's all things artificial. I'm well aware there has been dangerous fake colourings and the like in the past but the majority are fairly safe otherwise they would be outlawed completely. It's not hurting the enviourment in anyway just because it's not natural, and it's usually cheaper.

Does anyone else think we're taking this whole thing too far?

I believe the proper term for this is 'codswallop'.

I voted 'Yes! Definitely' just to be the thread's asshat. It had to happen; I wanted to get that out of the way.

I drink juice from concentrate sometimes, it's not a big deal. I don't *tick* have any *tick tick* problems at all.

Was it Evian? Their demograpic is already retarded, I'm sure someone would believe that and feel a little better while drinking. *raises eyebrow*

It doesn't get really goofy until you get into magnetized, energized, oxygenated, quantum spun clustered water.

Quantum spun...wha?

Dear god, it's sad but you just know some fool has bought into that crap.

Quote:
Quantum Tech water is infused with light from a Geometric Laser, to imprint the vibration of 35 essential isotopes of elements from the periodic table. These elements are required by your body, in their pre-metallic, unstable isotopic form, for healthy and vitality.
The vibration of essential isotopes

Oh yeah, and just a few minutes ago I breathed deeply and felt the nutrtional ions of a million years fill my lungs. Smelled a bit like sulfur, but then again, I was outside and near the septic field....

By the time a crazy person could afford enough of that to stay alive, they'd be dead from dehydration. Which sort of negates its job, I'd say.

Water quackery is one of the funniest and most preposterous forms. Some of this stuff is hilarious. Pure comedy gold.

Bringing any pure water to a higher coherent quantum state and maintaining it there requires the manipulation of quantum thermodynamics. ... The virtual laser imposes coherence (structure) on the vacuum medium around and through a given volume water and rotates energy out of vacuum into the fundamental water molecules. As entropy decreases (time reversed energy always runs thermodynamics in reverse) water physically expresses this by reorganizing fundamental particles to acquire a higher coherent quantum state. ... [The water] assumes a minimum spin state of 1.8 million bio-angstroms.

and yeah people do buy this stuff.

Who's saying this kind of stuff? It's the first I've heard. I mean, there's a ton of sugar in fruit juice so you shouldn't drink too much, but I've never heard of anyone specifically complaining juice from concentrate.

For one thing, it's very environmentally friendly compared with "freshly pressed" juices, as what they do is juice the fruit, make it into concentrate, transport it wherever, then put some water back in. If they don't do that, they have to transport 10 times as much (or however much it is) and that uses up all that extra fuel. So, juice from concentrate is good.

I voted No!

Let me just say if it tastes good you don't have anything to complain about right? lol

But regardless everything may at times have harmful ingredants not intentionally to be included. After all you do have people who are allergic.

As long as the product is safe to drink i'm cool.

If I happen to be at an orange grove in Florida or an apple orchard in Maine - yeah, I prefer fresh squeezed whole juice. You bet.

Anywhere else, I'm fine with concentrate.

What I don't like is those juices that are "10% real fruit juice!" and the like. If I want to drink juice, I want actual juice, not Kool-Aid.

I think the only beverage I actively loathe is Sunny D, but that's because it damn near put me into hyperglycemic shock the one time I drank it. Silly me, I thought it was juice. Awful shite, that.

Isn't it just. I don't know why it is so popular, it seems like it is practically deadly with the amount of sugar and additives. I actually like sweet flavoured things in general, but there's such a thing as too sweet.

I always water my juice down. I don't really know the difference between different juices, but if it isn't at least half purified water added to it, its too sugary for me.
