Anime Summer 2008

A few on there look interesting, and I'll definately have to see what the Batman anime is all about. Certainly not as good as this season though, from first looks.

EDIT: Bigger picture now, so you can read text.

...sweet jesus. SEKIREI?

i thought they would never. GO SQUENIX!

the new Negima won't be out until August, methinks.

as for Hidamari Sketch. wasn't it out already?

looking forward to Blade of the Immortal. and Antique Bakery.

p.s. isn't Mission-E just like Code-E?

I'm going for the moe shows especially the new Hidamari Sketch. Strike Witches I've been waiting for about a year now so I'm glad it's finally coming.

Thats the best preview setup i've seen in a while. Did you find that picture or compile it yourself?

Anyways, i said on another forum that im definately going to be checking out Blade of the Immortal. If its half as gruesome as the manga it'll be good to watch.

From checking the list out, Chocolate Underground looks odd so will probably take a peek see how that is and also Antique Bakery looks like it could be a funny show.

The others dont really appeal that much at the minute but you never know.

Hidamari Sketch x365 and Mission-E are sequals. I thought the Negima thing was just a music video thing coming out with the manga

Based on the book "bootleg" by an British writer Alex Shearer, also made into a BBC TV series.

For me, Birdy, Blade of the Immortal, and Strike Witches are ones I will investigate; for the rest, I'll see what the buzz is.

By the way, if anyone cares, Ultra violet:code 044 is by going to be done by the dynamic duo that have done countless masterpieces. The director Osamu Dezaki, and charcter designer Akio Sugino who is famous for his over the top shoujo style.

Here's some of the series they both have worked on together:

Ace wo Nerae!
Ashita no Joe
Ashita no Joe 2
Nobody's boy Remi
Oniisama E
Space Adventure Cobra
Space Adventure Cobra The Movie
The Rose of Versailles
and much more.

Even though it's only going to be 12 episodes, it should be really good.

If I were a mod, I'd rename this thread Batman and Cobra make anime not suck anymore (and so can't you).

I recently started the Sekirei manga and it looks like it's going to be the ecchi show of the season. Might watch.

I'm all for Batman.

Chocolate Underground looks interesting for the simple fact that rebels attempt to protect that most sacred of delicacies : chocolate.

I predict failure for Blade of the Immortal on the fact that it's made by Bee Train. We'll see.

So Batman's all I see as interesting this season. I'll see about the rest as reviews come out.

Definitely gonna check out Slayers Revolution and School Rumble Third Term eventually. Some of the other shows look interesting and I'll probably check out some of them sometime down the road. Would it have also killed you to put that ridiculously huge pic in a thumbnail for god sakes? Can a mod or somebody please fix that? It's annoying.

More Mahou Tsukai ni taisetsu na koto is always a great thing, woot. I'm also interested in Chocolate Underground and Telepathy Shoujo Ran (which sounds like it could be sort of like Kimagure Orange Road).

Yea, that one looks like something I might enjoy. Looks like it's gonna be 26 episodes and I like what I see for the voice cast so far, especially Kana Ueda and Tomokazu Seki.
