Most self-righteous character

Which character of anime/manga/video games is most self-righteous? Someone who believes his or her way is the only way and believes he or she is always right and possibly even perfect. Someone who not only brags about his or her good actions, but also gossips about other people's mistakes or even flaws and puts them down for this.

Light Yagami, for obvious reasons.

But, for a total megalomaniac even more ETERNALLY FLAMING than Light is, there's Szayel Aporro Grantz from Bleach. He started out fairly simple as a flamboyant scientist who "perfectly" dissected his opponents' combat strategies to put the hurt on them. Then once in his released state, he used several more tricks against his opponents, each one ten times gayer than the last. All the while, Szayel keeps a high and mighty " I AM T3H UNSTOPPABL3S!!!" attitude, already earning him the gayest villain in shounen manga.

It doesn't stop there.

This one is too easy, Light Yagami from Death Note, and maybe to a lesser extent, Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass.

I have not read or watched Death Note. Just see friends cosplay from it.

ROLF at LT's description of Szayel. It's actually true. I mean if he made that up, I would be worried, either he had a really good imagination or he writes too many fanfics....or is it BOTH!?

ON TOPIC: I would have to say Light as well but I'll come back later with more.

Light Yagami. Making him so self-righteous didn't make him obnoxious or weaken his character at all. It fit him perfectly.
