Make Claymore your top priority. You may like Clanned, from the same makers as both Air and Kanon and has a larger amount of comedy then the first two which makes it a lot easier to enjoy.

Oh right hes looking for finished shows isn't he. Well were 17 episodes in so it shouldn't be too much of a wait until the show ends. Its something to look forward to each weekend.

Without physically going to my anime collection:

Master Keaton - Detective series
Black Lagoon 2 - The second raid - You have seen the first installment.
Flame of Recca - Everytime I think of Yu Yu Hakusho, I think of this anime, I think they are similar.

Gate Keepers - A couple episodes with giant robos near the end, but mainly it's fantasy I'd say.

Full Metal Panic! - Some sci fi in it, but that definitely isn't the main focus - a good show for anyone.

Peacemaker - Sort of like Kenshin, but from the Shinsengumi's point of view instead of the Choshu.

Excel Saga - crazyness..

Go for Baccano. Old style killin' with flair and light fantasy twist.

Let's see, you like Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto and Bleach, so you should definitely check out Hunter x Hunter and One Piece. You like Code Geass so check out other stuff by director Goro Taniguchi like Infinite Ryvius, Planetes, Scryed, and Gun x Sword (I've yet to see all of GxS though, but it was OK from what I've seen). You want action? How about some action AND substance with Berserk. And how about a genre that you probably haven't delved much into? Hajime no Ippo (Fighting Spirit) will start you off right in that department.

Just a few goodies for you to try out. A couple of these are sci-fi, but I wouldn't classify them as heavy sci-fi.

I was told with my likings of Air and Kanon's style that I would like "Ef ~A tale of memories~". Maybe you would.

If you want something lighter, with some laughs, a dash of romance and some action... I had fun watching Kaibutsu Oujo. Its nothing revolutionary but the ride was worth it if you ask me. It's a short serie too, 25 episode I believe.

Seconding One Piece, and very hesitantly seconding Hunter X Hunter due to poor fansub quality.

Not heavy in sci-fi
-Fullmetal Alchemist
-Kanon
-Honey & Clover
-and Rurouni Kenshin

There are plenty, but stay away from Gundam, and Gankutsuou, a lot of sci-fi, but thats pretty obvious.
