Quality Anime Xp Desktop Themes

I am looking to download/purchase (if need be) quality anime xp desktop THEMES.
Not merely wallpapers or bad quality themes.

I've been searching all over google, deviant art etc and just can't find any good ones!

Evangelion is a priority but atm I'm happy to find anything decent that is anime based!

Thank you!
I hope this thread will make everyone's desktops prettier!

Best thing you can do is find a good anime wallpaper you like and try and find a theme that matches it. I mean, what more would an anime theme be? A picture of some random characters head as the start button?

From what I remember (when DT Themes were "all the rage" back in the late 90s), different graphics were replaced with different things from the series. Things like the "Start" menu were changed, sure, but also things like the Hour-Glass cursor were changed (I think it was replaced with the NERV logo on my friend's Eva DT theme), too. Not to mention color schemes and backgrounds were also altered to fit in better with the theme.

My original answer to this request was something like "Do people even still make these? What is this, 1997?" and I still hold a similar opinion. Apparently, people still make them but to me it's a relic of the past. An actual desktop theme only enhanced aestethics (and since I remember them for Win95/98 machines, they didn't do much else), though arguably, they probably added overhead to the system's functions, too. Not what I'm looking for when I start messing around with my computer but admittedly, it was kinda cool at 14.

Ah, I completely forgot about 95/98 themes. Guess that makes sense then.

I was thinking Stardock type stuff. Which I really haven't seen any anime type themes back when I was into customizing windows the MAX™. If there is though it'd be interesting to see, I guess.

Now with Vista I just set the transparency as far as I can and it matches whatever I have as a background.

And, arguably, the overhead added by the very fact of XP or Vista would crush those computers hardware specs. The fact is, overhead is overhead. If you've got a machine that runs XP ok, but you're not militant about cleaning it up, adding an XP-compliant theme on top of that will still add overhead in the same ratio that 95/98 systems had.

The computers and OSes have changed, but how they interact hasn't changed that much.

A quick google search turned these up:
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/T...top_Theme.html
http://www.themeworld.com/themes/anime.html
http://www.otakuworld.com/desktop/0desktop.html

dunno if that's what you're looking for, not a windows user so I don't know how windows deals with themes.
