Rumbling Hearts?
On my quest for a good romance/comedy (see other thread) i came upon this little series. I first thought of it as just another game turned anime show so i shrugged it off. But after seeing some reviews on it i thought that i should maybe try it. Has anyone seen it or knows enough about it to give me a reason to buy it or not.

I only saw a few episodes years ago & don't really remember much, but it isn't the kind of romance I like. I prefer sweet & charming romance, but this one just seems like a tragic soap opera. Correct?
Buy the rest of Maison Ikkoku already!!! now thats great romance that actually makes you feel good.

I wouldn't really classify Kiminozo as Romance Comedy. It's Romance Drama, with a small amount of comedy thrown in for good measure. I liked the series well enough, but it's not my favorite, as I prefer more cuter/sweeter series, same as Levon.
As far as romance drama goes, I think REC is a lot better than Kiminozo because it's intense and full of drama, but doesn't have as much of the "damn this pisses me off" kind of drama.

I can't say I really remember all of REC too well, because it didn't leave a lasting impression on me at all, but I liked the drama a lot more in KGNE than REC, not to mention I didn't really care for the characters at all in REC. The show was a bit too short in my opinion too. It was like what... nine twelve minute episodes right? Which came out to be about your average five episodes. I wouldn't know really though since I haven't read the REC manga or whatever (nor do I really care to), but the show might had been something more if it wasn't so short, but there just wasn't anything special about it that I can say would make me want to watch it again. It was an average show to me.

I liked REC, but I agree it was too short. However, J Dude the manga is much better. KGME is a better series than REC as far as anime series go, but comparing them is like comparing apples to oranges . . . .

I thought REC was pretty decent. The DVD special was god awful though. The episode fit so out of place.

I agree. I finally got my hands on episode 7.5 or whatever the DVD special was and regreted watching it. It left a bad taste in my mouth. Like Coca Cola, only with a longer bad aftertaste.

I personally enjoyed watching Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. I watched REC many months ago, it's alright. Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien is better than REC because Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien have better drama than REC have.

I hope that's your personal opinion because I don't think REC was going for the drama route at all. REC was pretty much a straight forward romance with no ******** in the middle.

Well, I looked REC on ANN, and I noticed the genres: Comedy, Drama, Romance, Slice of Life
REC is too short, each epiodes have 12 mins only, and I am not sure if REC was the straight forward to drama or not.

You weren't quoting me, but I think REC was chock full of drama. I think I liked REC better than Kiminozo because I could relate to it. I actually had a relationship where I lived with a girl, and I went through a lot of the same crap the couple in REC went through. Kiminozo had a different kind of drama for sure, but I would still put them in the same category, moreso than I would pair up Kiminozo with something like Ai Yori Aoshi or Love Hina.
