July 3, 2007 It will be liscensed by Viz Media as a manga series. I'm not sure about the anime, though. I just watched the entire series on YouTube. I plan to buy it if it's ever liscensed in the U.S.

AoD has the anime listed as licensed by VIZ as of December 2006. At this point there are no Region 1 DVDs of Ichigo 100%.

It has 26 episodes and no it isn't worth watching. The manga isn't worth reading, either. It had potential but they completely screwed up. I didn't like it at all.

As far as I know, it is only the Ichigo 100% manga that has been licensed, and not the anime.

Either way, I would not spend money on this. It is 19 volumes so you have plenty of money to burn on this, and there is a possibility that you will not like the ending, moreso than most series of this nature.

both the manga and DVD were licensed. Actually, I think the anime was (at leaft announced) first. I am a big fan of both and will be buying both.

I guess it was, but I have never heard of anyone mention that the anime got licensed, whereas as I have seen a few discussions about the manga being licensed. I don't really feel like looking around to find confirmation, so I will just take your word for it.

It is definitely in the same genre, but that doesn't mean that you will automatically like it. I know I sure didn't, and if necessary I could at least explain why(this would be a gigantic post that I would rather not have to make). I don't know if I would call it crappy, but I certainly would not say it was good.

Yeah, if you likes the manga, and you dont mind animes that finish in the middle of a manga, as many do these days, you'll probably like it.

A lot of the anime community (my self NOT included), hated the ending to the manga because it wasnt 'typical' or because Manaka didnt end up with the girl they thought he would. So there is some manga discussion on the board, but less because of the bad tatse the ending left in a lot of people's mouths.

Couple this with an anime that doesnt cover the WHOLE story, and that means you'll find even LESS talk about the anime in these parts. Also, people who like it usually know theyre going to end up with a thread filled with people talking about how much they hated it, so why bother? lol.

As for whether youll like it or not, there are tons of little story elements here and there that I would imagine would make it or break it for some people.

Which is why things like Rentanime and Netflix are great for checking out shows that seem to have a 'love it or hate it' divide in popularity.

Personally, I think you'll enjoy it, but it does probably come across as a little less "heartfelt" than even something like Love Hina. I wouldn't go as far as to call it a "good series," but I would call it an entertaining one. A similar anime that I discovered a bit after Ichigo 100% was Suzuka, which is being released on DVD by Funimation soon. It's a romantic-comedy about Track and Field and reminds me of Ichigo in its style of humor and the emotions in makes an appeal to. However, it takes itself more seriously than Ichigo and thus has more plot (one that I found very satisfying, although the anime ends on a point in the manga where the main relationships are temporarily in a "wrapped" up state, but where the Track and Field aspect is far from concluded, so the romance and comedy is really the prime attraction, although liking track is a bonus). Unlike Suzuka, Ichigo 100% is pure mindless comedy, for the most part.

It is half and half which is where many people fall, It's ok as far as the story and animation go. But let me warn you the ending will probably make you angry or upset. Unlike the manga there is NO indication that the show has ended and if you didn't know it was the last episode made you would have no clue. Which is probably why there is a lot of viewers left with a bitter taste in thier mouths.

I would watch the anime and read the manga, while some may disagree with the mangas ending atleast there is one.

On the topic of the ones you listed. They all pretty much use the same formula and if your a fan of the Romance/Comedy/Drama genres then there is a chance there will be aspects of each shows you will like. But yeah until you watch them we can't tell you anything, afterall it is your opinion to form.
