Whats the relation between "Winter Garden" and "Digi Charat"?

I'm just curious, I've heard people reffering to the younger sister in "Winter Garden" as Puchiko. Aside from that they seem to use some "Digi Charat" accessories. And oh, their hair colour are also similar

So what IS the real relation between the two? If any

Is basically a spin-off, but it toys with the idea of being a sequel.

They are called Dejiko and Puchiko, but are no longer aliens. Rabi-en-Rose appears (as an actress) but doesn't seem to know them anymore, etc.

Actually, you see a picture of them as kids, and they look exactly as they were in Digi-Charat.

...its kinda more like a "what if" series. i've even pointed out who kimutaku is. its actually a fresh new way to look at the Digi Charat characters. i still love how Puchiko is still direct to the point.

Speaking of which, Neku, that reminds me of the episode of Futureama with the "What if" machine. xD
