Hana Kimi Live Action Series

I couldn't find anywhere to put this topic but I resigned myself to put it in the Manga section since Hana Kimi is a manga...

Have anyone seen the live action Taiwanese version of Hanakazari no Kimitachi E (Hana Kimi)? I only watched the first episode of it and it was surprisingly well done although this version's Ashiya, Rui Xi, is a bit doofier than how original Ashiya is. I would recommend this to Hana Kimi fans of all kinds.

It also brings me the question of why Hana Kimi was never animated? I guess with anime like Paradise Kiss coming out years after the manga was finish, it's still a chance. Is Hana Kimi finished over in Japan? I know it has 23 volumes but I don't know if it's on continuing or not.

I haven't see the live action yet..

I am not sure why they never made an anime after it. Maybe with the popularity of Ouran (which also has a crossdressing girl), maybe they'll consider it?

I am very sure it's finished in Japan. It probably ended at volume 23.

No. It's in the middle of being aired.. and it's not Hana Kimi. It's just originating around Hana Kimi. Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu - Taiwanese drama. We only got a watered down copy of a different series drama based on Hana Kimi. I can't complain anyway, I don't enjoy it.

I never watched the live action of "Hana Kimi" but I really hope that they will make the manga into anime. Hana Kimi is one of my favorite mangas ever and I am collecting all the volumes, so I have 15 volumes till now. I am so looking forward to the upcoming volumes.
There is an illustration book of "Hana Kimi," which has been released in the U.S. in November 06 and it is so, so beautiful. I think it is a must have for all Hana Kimi fans. I have the Japanese version of the illustration book, as well

I was refering to the manga, not the show.

That's why I call it the Taiwanese live action version of the manga. It even got Hanakazari no Kimitachi E on it's title and it's pretty close to the manga from what I'm judging from the first episode.
