I would say that`s a hard question. There might be a few,but i know that the Americans rarely do their own animation up to a point.

After the Treasure Planet debacle, Disney's 2D animation studio is almost nonexistent. Their domestic operations are nearly all in computer animation these days.

There must be hundreds. You know all those american cartoons... they're not made entirely by Koreans. Usually, american studios will do the pre-production (all the important planning stuff) and the keys, probably animate the most important scenes, do the most important drawings in each scene, and then hand over anything they can't get finished on time to cheaper Korean studios. In fact I'm sure that many american studios work efficiently enough that they don't have to out source work.

Well, somebody is making The Simpsons, South Park, and numerous childrens cartoons. I suppose they could be animated in Canada or somewhere else, but I'm sure at least some of them are made in the U.S.A.

I don't follow American animation very closely, but I imagine that there are still many American animation studios. The Cartoon Network has its own American based studios where it animates its original programming. I imagine that most, if not all of the Cartoon Network's original animation is made here in the US. Disney may have closed much of its 2D animation department, but I imagine that they've still got some studios open and working. There's also a lot of American animation that goes straight to home video. I presume that at least some of that is produced domestically.
I'd recommend exploring the Animation World Network homepage, which, I'm sure, covers many American animation studios. |

For the animation movie like those which is big-budget and get the box-office such as The Incredibles or Finding Nemo, is it 100% done by USA or does Pixar also offshoring it to korea?
I thought before this, most of the animation is done locally in USA.
