How come the US never gets these kind of epidemics?

We only get mad cow disease and spinach born E. Coli

What the heck...? That...that's just weird. It's almost too hard to believe that such a disease exists. Not, not almost too hard. It IS too hard to believe that such a disease exists.

I'm all for laughing at a good joke, but it sounds as if these women not only *suffer* from this disease, but some are even driven to suicide (or attempt it, anyway). I don't see how anyone can make light of it.

Wait a second... Oh my god, that syndrome actually exists. I thought that news article was a joke or something, but then I did a Wikipedia search, and there it was! Okay, this is definitely not something to laugh about anymore. That's a horrible disease!

Oh, of course, if it's on wikipedia, it must be true!

I think part of it might be that the Japanese women do not get action as much as women here in America. You know those occasional studies that show people in Japan have less sex than in other countries, well that might be part of the reason. And yeah we do need some of that epidemic here in US&A, sometimes it takes a good amount of effort for them to reach that point...

It's a real affliction. There was a documentary about it a while ago. There was an American woman (who's name I don't recall) who was virtualy dibilatated by it. There was very little she could do from begining to end without an episode. Although I had no idea that it affected so many people. It doesen't seem to be connected to sexual situations in anyway it just happens.

It should be noted that Wai Wai (the link from Mainichi News) focuses on articles from Japanese tabloids and in general bizarre stuff. So take the article for a grain of salt.
